Amar Rangan is Professor of Orthopaedic Surgery at the Universities of Oxford & York. He is a specialist shoulder surgeon based at the James Cook University Hospital in Middlesbrough. He is a surgeon member of the NJR Steering Committee and Chairs the Research Committee for the British Orthopaedic Association. He is current Hon Secretary for BESS and leads the 'Optimising Outcomes from Shoulder Arthroplasty' initiative of which ODEP for shoulder implants is an important work stream.
