Profile details

Sashin Ahuja is a Consultant Orthopaedic Spinal Surgeon at Cardiff & Vale University Health Board since 2003. His practice covers the full spectrum of spinal disorders including paediatric deformity. He is also actively involved in education (convening cadaveric and interactive courses for senior trainees and consultants), training (as the lead for the centre’s fellowship programme which has AO Spine recognition) and research (publishing regularly in peer reviewed journals and authored book chapters). He has worked on the executive boards of British Scoliosis Society (BSS), British Association of Spine Surgeons (BASS) and AO Spine. He is the current Chair of the UK Spine Societies Board (UKSSB), BASS Past-President (2019-2021), Past Chair AO Spine UK Council (2017-2020) and Co-Chair of the Spine ODEP & BC. He is an expert advisor to NICE and MHRA.
