PAVI stem is a self-locking, rectangular, collarless cementless implant made of titanium alloy (TA6V) with tapered neck in the anteroposterior plane. Each of the two ranges standard (neck-shaft angle to 135°;) and varus (neck-shaft angle to 130°;) consists of 8 femoral stem sizes. The bilayer coating is obtained by vaccum plasma spraying including an underlayer of progressively decreasing thickness of porous titanium (T40) and a continious layer of hydroxyapatite.
