SMR Reverse HP in Trauma

Poly glenosphere/ Trauma Humeral Body / Uncemented Stem &amp; Uncemented Metal Back Glenoid The SMR System has been released on the market in 2002 &ndash; the SMR REVERSE HP is part of this modular platform with over 13 years of clinical applications. LimaCorporate is a pioneer in the modularity field: SMR has been the first to address multiple indications of shoulder replacement with a unique modular system. The SMR REVERSE HP is composed of a glenosphere made of cross-linked polyethylene, with large diameters of 40 mm and 44 mm, and a liner made of cobalt-chrome alloy. <br />This advanced design solution has been developed by LimaCorporate with the inversion of the materials in order to prevent scapular notching and instability. A ceramic liner option is also available for allergic patients. The SMR REVERSE HP also features corrective liners which are characterized by an extension which can be dialed to facilitate the management of soft tissues. Tuberosities reconstruction is then supported by a dedicated metaphyseal component, the Reverse Finned Trauma Humeral Body build with two lateral holes and a medial polished groove for suture wires. The fixation of the cementless stem is distal in the diaphyseal fragment, thus allowing to adjust the height of the prosthesis by varying the stem diameter.
