The U-Motion II™ is a comprehensive cementless cup system providing optimised head-to-cup ratio for enhanced stability and greater range of motion.

1. A comprehensive cup system:

The U-Motion II™ cup system offers a range of cup options from no-hole through to cluster and multi-hole cups, all coated with a porous plasma spray and hydroxyapatite coating, and compatible with 0°; and 20°; cross-linked polyethylene as well as BIOLOX liners; thus accommodating surgical flexibility within one system. In addition, the system provides adjustable screw angulation of up to 32°; allowing surgical flexibility in screw positioning without compromising cup fixation.

2. Offering enhanced stability and range of motion:

The U Motion II™ system optimizes head and cup size pairings allowing for the use of larger heads

when compared with conventional systems; thus enhancing hip stability, range of motion and reducing risk of dislocation. Evidence demonstrates that the larger head paired with the U-Motion II™ Cup allows for 178°; ROM without impingement[1].

3. Improved longevity:

The use of both cross-linked polyethylene and BIOLOX ceramic liners ensures a low wearing head-cup articulation. UOC’s XPE material has demonstrated 89% reduction in wear rates when compared with conventional polyethylene2.
