[London, 19 December 2025] — ODEP and NEC today announced a new sustainable service and funding model designed to support the long‑term delivery, scalability, and resilience of its nationally recognised implant ratings process. This model was first presented to industry and clinical stakeholders at the BOA Congress in September 2025, where it received strong engagement and valuable feedback.

To secure the ongoing administrative resource required for managing submissions, maintaining databases and the ODEP website, and supporting manufacturers and panel members, a new charging structure will be introduced for submissions made from 1 February 2026. This model ensures that costs are shared proportionally based on a manufacturer’s annual submission volume, with options ranging from pay‑per‑submission to tiered annual bundles.

Alongside this, ODEP confirmed the development of a new digital submissions platform. The platform will streamline workflows, improve data quality, automate reminders, and significantly increase the service’s capacity. These changes will secure the long‑term viability of the ODEP process, reduce risks associated with rising demand, and enhance the experience for all users.
